Ghtroc Industries was a major producer of starships within the Outer Rim of the galaxy. Their ships included the Ghtroc 440, Ghtroc 580, Ghtroc 720, Luxurious-class space yacht, and Cargo Empress-class super freighter.

The Cargo Empress was a dismal marketing failure, and contributed to the corporation's eventual bankruptcy. However, Ghtroc's light freighters, especially the Ghtroc 720, gained a loyal following in the Outer Rim and remained in widespread use years after the company went out of business.

Marka Durn's freighter DeepHopper was made by this company, as was Margo Flarestream's Pepper's Hope.
