According to the Gospel of the True Gods, the three Gifts of the True Gods were bestowed upon the Yuuzhan Vong in the Before-Time. The Gifts of life, the least valuable gift, so that the Yuuzhan Vong could serve the True Gods; Pain, so that serving the True Gods was known to be the measure of life; and Death, which was the greatest gift of all, where one could experience the Blessed Release from the burden of Pain and the curse of Life.
