|Star Wars work|
Gilda Cohen (born Hilda Cohen) (1919 – 2003) was the actress who, according to a production sketch of cantina patrons created by John Mollo on April 7, 1976, played Mos Eisley citizen Little Aunt Beru in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The production crew's daily Call Sheet for April 14, 1976, indicates Gilda was a stand-in for the part of bat alien, Kabe, a role normally played by actor Rusty Goffe.
During the filming of the cantina scene in Star Wars: Episode IV Cohen met fellow actor Marcus Powell, with whom she would become romantically linked.
Other film credits include The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) and The Elephant Man (1980).
