Gin Clarke, or Gin is a former model and an actress for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Stock footage of her was used on Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.

Clarke began her career when she was discovered by French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, while on a trip in London. She would then became a model, using her tall height, her athletic figure and her bald head to be noticed all over Europe. Her look was even imitated by a number of young black models, especially in the United Kingdom. During the mid 1990s, many bald black women modeled.

After that, she decided to retire from catwalking business to try her luck in cinema. She began working as an actress on The Fifth Element, where she can be recognized as the assistant of Diva Plavalaguna.

She then was selected as one of the Jedi Masters for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, using as a stage name only Gin instead of her full name Gin Clarke. Master Adi Gallia used unique headwear, so that Clarke's shaved head was not visible. She became one of the fan-favorites, and one of the first non-speaking Jedi Masters to get her own action figure (at a point where action figures included a chip to speak lines from the movies).

For Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Clarke was not called again. Lily Nyamwasa was selected for that role, having a certain resemblance to Clarke. Dressed in the same uniform, she was intended to play Clarke's character, but it was finally decided that she looked distinctly different enough to become a new character so that Nyamwasa's character was named Stass Allie, a relative to Adi Gallia.
