The ginntho was a large arachnid native to Utapau.

Ginnthos lived in the deep caves of Utapau and were equipped with six spinnerets, capable of producing durable silk. Domesticated ginnthos were commonly trained by the native Pau'ans to spin silk on command.

During the Battle of Utapau, ginnthos were used to create elaborate traps from their silk to ensnare invading battle droids.
