Gnullith

Gnulliths were fleshy, starfish-like creatures used as a breath mask by the Yuuzhan Vong. The gnullith sealed itself over the mouth and nose and forced a tube down the person's throat, allowing gas exchange to take place under water or in a vacuum. They could be attached to lungworms.
