- "But huge though it is, the Kroolok's victims never even know it's there, hiding among the trees, ready to pounce on its prey, before it strikes. By then it's too late. Yuzzums, Gorphs, and Duloks, none are safe…all devoured in a single bite…"
- ―Logray, to Kneesaa
Gorphs were an amphibious sentient species who were native to the Forest Moon of Endor.[1] One winter, the Ewok shaman Logray of Endor's Bright Tree Village claimed to Princess Kneesaa that the legendary Krooloks could eat Gorphs in a single bite.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Gorphs were first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the thirty-eighth issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, published by De Agostini[1] around September 23, 2015.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Gorphs first appeared in "Princess Latara,"[4] the fourth episode in the second season of the animated television series Ewoks. The episode was written by Paul Dini and premiered on September 20, 1986.[5]
