This grapple droid was presented in Battle of Antamont. It detected a deserter B1 battle droid and tried to convince it to return to the droid army. When the B1 droid refused, grapple droid attacked, but ended up falling apart, remaining barely functioning for a short while. Grapple droid was afraid of going off-line, but the B1 eased its fears, and showed compassion by staying with it until the grapple droid eventually shut down permanently.[2]
