The grazer was a docile, four legged, slow-moving herbivore native to the planet Alderaan. Bred for their rich source of nutritious and tasty meat and agricultural purposes, grazers were easy to manage and grew to tremendous sizes. Due to many been moved offworld long ago, they cheated extinction of their home world when it was destroyed in 0 BBY. Grazers were also related to the Nerf.

Two varieties of grazers existed: the domestic grazer and the wild grazer. The Domestic grazer was considerably fatter than the leaner, tougher Wild grazer.

• scuttle grazers from Kashyyyk
• space grazers, an extinct spaceborne species
• zronta grazers from Pii III
