The Great Time of Peace on Naboo began with the establishment of the Jafan Dynasty when King Jafan, the king of Theed, united the planet around 830 BBY after the crisis in 1000 BBY that had led to a large scale conflict engulfing all the Human Naboo city states. This was when Theed became the Royal Capital, eclipsing Deeja Peak. The Great Time of Peace did not end until the Trade Federation Blockade of Naboo during the reign of Queen Padmé Amidala in 32 BBY.
Each Naboo monarch wore the scar of remembrance as a reminder of this dark time.
