The Greck were a gang of thugs run by the corrupt and criminal businessman Olag Greck, after whom the gang took its name.[1] They were active on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War.[2] After the Battle of Yavin, the gang was in open conflict with the Corellian Security Force (CorSec) and its mercenaries allies of Beldonna's League.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The Greck appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[2] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] The Greck were one of the factions in the game. Greck non-player characters randomly spawned on Corellia and were randomly featured in terminal missions. However, they were not involved in any scripted quest.[2]

Unused game files revealed that the "Publish 28," released on April 26, 2006,[5] planned to introduce a questline centered on the Greck. In these quests, the player would have been tasked by CorSec Captain Dool and the Tyrena city councilmen Lyman Zavala with investigating the relationship between the Chirq Council and the Greck criminals. Olag Greck himself was intended to appear in the game, being the final boss to kill to conclude the questline.[6]
