"Green Leader to Commander Gree! Super Battle Droids have breached our hull!"
―Green Leader to Clone Commander CC-1004 — (audio)Listen (file info)[src]

"Green Leader" was the call sign of a clone trooper who was present during a Separatist attack on the Venator-class Star Destroyer Tranquility around 22 BBY. The leader of Green Company, a unit within the 41st Elite Legion, this clone was dispatched by Commander CC-1004 to repel the intruders who had breached the hull of the Tranquility. Inside the hangar bay, Green Company and Green Leader attempted to defend the Star Destroyer; however, the B2 super battle droid intruders overran the clones' position, killing all of Green Company and Green Leader in the process.

"They're heading for the detention level. We need reinforcements–"
―Green Leader's last words to CC-1004 — (audio)Listen (file info)[src]
Green Company, led by Green Leader, race towards the hangar.

The clone trooper who went by the call sign of "Green Leader" was one of the many clones of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, born in the planet of Kamino.[1] Green Leader, like all clone troopers, was commissioned for the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, a galaxy-wide conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[3] Around 22 BBY,[2] Green Leader led Green Company onboard the Venator-class Star Destroyer Tranquility. Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray had recently been captured[4] and brought aboard the Star Destroyer to be transported back to Coruscant by Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and Padawan Ahsoka Tano. While the two Jedi interrogated the Neimoidian, Confederate Head of State Count Dooku sent Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress to rescue the viceroy.[3]

When Tranquility suddenly came under attack by Vulture droids, the captain of the cruiser alerted Commander CC-1004 that Droch-class boarding ships were approaching. As the boarding ships neared the Tranquility, CC-1004 notified Green Company of the threat, ordering them to repel the enemy. Green Company ran towards the Tranquility's hangar to prepare for the oncoming attack. Meanwhile, the boarding ships have breached the hull and opened their main doors. B2 super battle droids dropped down into the Tranquility hangar and engaged the clone troopers. As the clones took cover behind crates, Green Leader contacted CC-1004 and reported about the super battle droid attack. The clones struggled to fight back, but the droids, led by a super battle droid commander, dismantled the Republic force. Hiding behind a crate, Green Leader warned CC-1004 that the droids were heading his way and that his squad needed reinforcements. However, a super battle droid spotted the clone and instantly killed him with a blaster shot.[3]

[edit] Personality and traits

A loyal clone trooper, Green Leader obeyed any direct order that was given to him by his commanding officer, CC-1004. The clone, along with the rest of his men, was concerned about the success of their mission, and struggled to stop the Separatist attack. Green Leader also remained level-headed under pressure, contacting CC-1004 to alert him of the dangers that Green Company was facing.[3]

[edit] Behind the scenes
