"Green Leader" was the call sign of a clone trooper who was present during a Confederate attack on the Venator-class Star Destroyer Tranquility in 22 BBY. The leader of Green Company, a unit within the 41st Elite Corps, this clone was dispatched by Clone Commander Gree to repel the intruders who had breached the hull of the Tranquility. Inside the hangar bay, Green Company and Green Leader attempted to defend the Star Destroyer; however, the B2 super battle droid intruders overran the clones' position, killing all of Green Company and Green Leader in the process.

Green Company, led by Green Leader, race toward the hangar.

The clone trooper who went by the call sign of "Green Leader"[3] was born on the planet Kamino to serve in the Republic's Grand Army.[1] In 22 BBY,[2] during the Clone Wars, Green Leader led Green Company on board the Venator-class Star Destroyer Tranquility. Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray had recently been captured[4] and brought aboard the Star Destroyer to be transported back to Coruscant by Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and Padawan Ahsoka Tano. While the two Jedi interrogated the Neimoidian, Confederate Head of State Count Dooku sent Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress to rescue the Viceroy.[3]

When Tranquility suddenly came under attack by Vulture droids, the captain of the Star Destroyer alerted Clone Commander CC-1004, nicknamed "Gree," that Droch-class boarding ships were approaching. As the boarding ships neared the Tranquility, Gree notified Green Company of the threat, ordering them to repel the enemy. Green Company ran toward the Tranquility's hangar to prepare for the oncoming attack. Meanwhile, the boarding ships have breached the hull and opened their main doors. B2 super battle droids dropped down into the Tranquility hangar and engaged the clone troopers. As the clones took cover behind crates, Green Leader contacted Gree and reported about the super battle droid attack. The clones struggled to fight back, but the droids, led by a super battle droid commander, dismantled the Republic force. Hiding behind a crate, Green Leader warned Gree that the droids were heading his way and that his squad needed reinforcements. However, a super battle droid spotted the clone and instantly killed him with a blaster shot.[3]

Personality and traitsEdit

As a clone of Jango Fett,[3] Green Leader stood 1.83 meters tall.[1] Aboard the Tranquility, the clone, along with the rest of his men, was concerned about the success of their mission, and struggled to stop the Separatist attack. He remained level-headed under pressure and contacted Gree to alert him of the dangers that Green Company was facing.[3]

Behind the scenesEdit

"Green Leader" first appeared in "Cloak of Darkness," the ninth episode in the first season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, which aired on December 5, 2008. The character was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who provided the voice of all of the clone troopers in the series.[5] The clone was later shown as a background character in the children short story, The Clone Wars: Ambush.[6]
