Green Squadron (Galactic Republic)
There were at least two squadrons that shared the designation Green Squadron that flew within the starfighter forces of the Republic Navy.
A Green Squadron, called Green Wing, equipped with Aurek tactical strikefighters flew with Admiral Forn Dodonna's strike force, which participated in the Battle of Rakata Prime in 3,956 BBY. This unit opened a breach in the Sith lines that allowed other forces to strike at the Star Forge itself, destroying the space station at the end of the battle.
Millennia later, during the Clone Wars, a Green Squadron composed of clone-piloted V-19 Torrent starfighters fought at the Battle of Rendili.
