Grinner was one of the Cavrilhu Pirates under the command of the pirate leader Zothip. He was responsible for patrolling the Kauron asteroid base.
Grinner, Zothip, and several other pirates including Crans, Portin, and Control, snuck into Moff Disra's quarters on the Imperial Capital of Bastion. Grinner didn't realize that they were being followed by the Mystryl Shadow Guard known as Karoly D'ulin. Once inside, Karoly killed Zothip. After Zothip's death, Control took over as the head of the Cavrilhu Pirates.
