Groundborers were large machines used for creating tunnels manufactured by Akin-Dower. They were used to provide a quick shelter on dangerous worlds. A group of wealthy Naddists purchased several for use in the Freedon Nadd Uprising, where Warb Null attacked the city of Iziz on Onderon using modified versions of the Akin-Dower groundborers. After this attack, they were known as Onderonian War Machines.
