Gruk or Green Gruk was the leader of Gamorrean mercenary group. Gruk refused to take orders from anyone who had not personally defeated him in combat, however, thus reducing the number of potential employers for the mercenary.

While on StarForge Station Gruk responded to a call by Captain Dhas Vedij to join the crew of the Rebel privateer vessel Far Orbit, despite the fact that he didn't understand the mission of the privateers, didn't care about striking against the Empire, and didn't care about the ideals of the Alliance. Gruk responded to the call for boarding crew simply because he liked to fight.
