The Gualaar[2] were a quadrupedal species that had short white fur covering their body, a small horn above each nostril, and a large curved horn protruding from their heads. Four Gualaar pulled the carriage of Senator Padmé Amidala through the streets of Theed during her funeral.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Gualaar first appeared in the Revenge of the Sith novel adaptation, written by Matthew Stover and published by Del Rey on April 2, 2005.[3] They were first identified as Gualaar in the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game. Although both the novel and trading card game are now considered Legends, and even though the Gualaar hasn't been identified in a Canon source, Lucasfilm Story Group member Leland Chee confirmed on Twitter that it is fair to assume all Legends species names are canon unless stated otherwise.[2]
