Guardians were battle droids produced by Tendrando Arms. An improved version of the Defender Droid, it had thick weapons-equipped arms, gray laminanium armor, higher then average battle droid EM shielding, and a downward-pointing vocabulator. Without proper authorization, the droid could not be shut down. One was used to keep Cal Omas under house arrest.
