"Prepare for attack!"
Grievous upon seeing Guarlara[src]

The Guarlara was a Venator-class Star Destroyer of the Republic Navy, named after a hooved animal native to Naboo.

[edit] History

It participated in the Battle of Coruscant in the last days of the Clone Wars.

During the battle, Guarlara engaged General Grievous's flagship Invisible Hand, trading turbolaser and proton torpedo fire with the Separatist command ship at point-blank range. Both vessels took heavy damage in the exchange, but Guarlara's assault ultimately proved fatal, sending Invisible Hand into a death-plunge towards Coruscant's surface.

In doing so, Guarlara's crew unwittingly endangered an attempt by Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to rescue Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, whom Grievous had kidnapped during the early stages of the battle. However, Kenobi and Skywalker, aided by Palpatine and R2-D2, were able to safely land the wreck of Invisible Hand on the surface of Coruscant.
