The Guidon beacon was a staff-like device used by miners to signify their claim on an asteroid. It could also be used as a weapon akin to a quarterstaff with the anchoring pike at one end being able to cause slashing injuries.

The Jedi Exile may have found and used a Guidon beacon whilst exploring the near-deserted Peragus Mining Facility.
