- "You don't have to get mean. I'm new. They don't tell me much."
- ―A Guineo guard talking to his Draag supervisor
Guineo were a bipedal sentient species indigenous to the planet Dohlban, where they were often used for manual labor. On average, members of the Guineo species were very tall and powerful. Guineo were not very intelligent and lacked the ability to make complicated decisions, which placed many Guineo in very basic jobs. Many Guineo were hired off-world by criminal organiztions. One of these organizations was Haugg Nerf Industries, which was located in the Industrial district on the galactic capital planet of Coruscant. Several Guineo worked at Haugg Nerf Industried, which was a front for transporting death sticks from the crime lord Sebolto on the planet Malastare so that they could be sold on Coruscant. Among the Guineo working at Haugg Nerf Industries were Yol Areebi, J'Meeb Gumb, and Panza Hondi.

Biology and appearance
Edit
The Guineo were a sentient bipedal species with Pale yellow skin and two arms that ended in large four-fingered hands.[3] They were quite large and powerfully built, with the average Guineo being over two meters tall.[1] They had tall, elongated heads that were hairless, a thick neck, and two eyes on their faces, which were a red color in some Guineo. The Guineo also had a large mouth and two very small ears, one on each side of their heads.[3]
Society and culture
Edit
The Guineo, as far as sentient species went, were one of the least intelligent species in the galaxy. Their meager intelligence made them largely unable to make complex decisions.[1] This fact limited the Guineo to simple jobs. Guineo were able to learn how to speak Basic. Many Guineo workers that lived in the Industrial district on the planet Coruscant wore jumpsuits each having a large metallic plate on the front of it. Their jumpsuits had two tubes connected to the upper chest area and also to a small tank they carried on their backs. They also wore a goggle-like device that still allowed their eyes to be seen. The Guineo workers on Coruscant wore large gloves.[3]
History
Edit
The Guineo species was native to the planet Dohlban,[2] which was located in the Dohlban system in the Dohlbani sector of the Mid Rim.[4] The Dohlban system was located on the Kaaga Run past the Void Station system.[5]
Guineo in the galaxy
Edit
- "Why we gotta stand guard in here? The boss afraid somebody's going to steal a bunch of frozen nerfs?"
- ―A Guineo guard talking to his Draag supervisor
On their homeworld of Dohlban, the Guineo worked as manual laborers, but some were hired as muscle by criminal organizations from other worlds.[2] In any case, the Guineo species generally had very basic jobs, because of their poor decision making skills.[1] Some Guineo worked in the Industrial district of the planet Coruscant,[3] in the year 32 BBY.[6]
One company on Coruscant that employed members of the Guineo species as guards was Haugg Nerf Industries, which was a front for selling death sticks from the planet Malastare to people on Coruscant. Among the many Guineo working there were Yol Areebi, J'Meeb Gumb, Panza Hondi, and a newly-hired guard guarding death sticks near a speeder hangar.[3] In 32 BBY,[6] a Mandalorian bounty hunter named Jango Fett infiltrated Haugg Nerf Industries to get information from the owner of the Haugg Nerf Industries, Groff Haugg, on where the death sticks came from. When he entered Haugg Nerf through the hangar he encountered the newly hired guard and heard him talking about the death sticks to his Draag supervisor.[3]
Behind the scenes
Edit
A picture of a Guineo was published in April 2002 on the cover of Star Wars Gamer 10 advertising a preview for the LucasArts video game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, which was the first official image of the Guineo species.[7] When Star Wars: Bounty Hunter was released in December 2002, Guineo appeared as guards in Haugg Nerf Industries, which was the second stage of the second level. One Guineo appeared in a cutscene before the start of the stage which featured a Gunieo guard and a Draag supervisor having a conversation about what they were guarding in the facility while Jango Fett sneaks in.[3] The Guineo included on the level were armed with thermal wrenches and blasters.[8] Also, three of the Guineo from the level had secondary bounties placed on them which Jango Fett, the player's character, can collect. These three Guineo were Jol Areebi, J'Meeb Gumb, and Panza Hondi. Each of the Guineo bounties offered twice as many credits alive as the reward for killing the bounty. J'Meeb Gumb and Panza Hondi fought Jango if attacked, while Jol Areebi did not.[3] Their was also information about the Guineo included in Bounty Hunter: Prima's Official Strategy Guide which was published by Prima Games.[6] This article was written assuming that the player collected every bounty at the highest possible reward for each bounty, but the only bounty that Jango Fett is canonically confirmed to have collected is Panza Hondi. This information on Hondi was included in the 2008 book The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia which was published by Del Rey and was written mainly by Stephen J. Sansweet and Pablo Hidalgo.[9]
