Gunray On Top was an unauthorized biography of Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray that was published by TriPlanetary Press in 23 BBY. The book was written by Gunray's alleged mistress, Lora Besh, as a provocative tell-all on the Viceroy's life[1] in the aftermath of his numerous trials in the Galactic Republic's Supreme Court following his failed invasion of Naboo.[2]
The book was released on the same date as another TriPlanetary Press product, former Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum's autobiography, Holding Back the Tide. While Valorum's book floundered, Gunray On Top was met with wild enthusiasm and spent at least fourteen weeks on the top-ten bestseller list. The impressive disparity was reported on by HoloNet News two months after the books' release date.[1]

Gunray On Top was first mentioned in "Valorum & Gunray Bracket Ends of Book Sales", an article in the "Life" section of HoloNet News Vol. 531 47.[1] HoloNet News was a website created in 2002 to generate hype for Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.[3]
