[edit] Biography
Guun Han was heir to the wealthy Saresh family of Taris, known once as much for their arrogance and cruelty as for their vast riches and political power. Many of the Saresh family have shown a strong affinity to the Force and been taken in by the Jedi for training, as was the case of Guun Han.
After a successful hunt on Tatooine, Guun Han's next assignment with the Jedi Duron Qel-Droma and Shaela Nuur involved traveling to Korriban. He was responsible for getting past Sith forces and into the Valley of the Dark Lords by seducing young Sith students and stealing their passes.
However, Guun Han cursed the love that Duron Qel-Droma and Shaela Nuur had expressed to one another and feared their attachment would lead them towards the dark side of the Force. Guun Han went out on his own and first encountered and battled a terentatek on Kashyyyk, leaving behind only his journal and a powerful Jedi artifact, the Circlet of Saresh after he was eaten by the beast.
37 years later Revan found his corpse during his quest on Kashyyyk.
[edit] Behind the scenes
Guun Han's name may be loosely based on that of Gun Han, a warrior of the Wu family, of the Three Kingdoms in Chinese history. These stories were made popular in the video game series Dynasty Warriors.
The Circlet of Saresh is a powerful item that gives the wearer +5 WIS, thereby increasing their total Force points and the effectiveness of their Force powers.
The in-game description for the Circlet of Saresh states that the rich and powerful Saresh family was from the intensely humanocentric planet Taris, yet Shadows and Light establishes Guun Han Saresh as a Twi'lek.
