Detective Gwad Raatu was the male Rodian police investigator sent by the Coruscant Security Force to investigate the death of Jedi Master Tresina Lobi. He, along with his partner, Chal Tozr, questioned Jedi Masters Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker about the death of Tresina. As a Rodian the investigation got his hunting instincts worked up and later joined Luke and Mara as they investigated Lumiya's apartment on Coruscant. After hearing about Lumiya being Luke's former girlfriend, he said that "With most humans, it's usually sex or love."
