HELIOS-3E was an IG-86 sentinel droid, who worked for Cad Bane while he worked with the Hutts. After being instructed to recover the plans for the Senate Building, 3E accompanied Bane to Coruscant. When Todo 360 successfully separated Padmé Amidala's protocol droid, C-3PO, from his counterpart, R2-D2, 3E pulled up in a speeder so they could bring 3PO to Bane. After discovering that R2 was the droid that had the information for the senate building, he was sent with Todo to track him down. After serching for the astromech, they decided to return, empty-handed, to Bane. When R2 heard about them torturing C-3PO, he gave himself up to prevent his companion from becoming spare parts. Soon, the plans were extracted from the little droid and 3E was charged with wiping their memories and "dumping them back on the streets".

Behind the scenes
Edit
The episode guide for "Evil Plans" identified HELIOS-3E as being a character who appeared before in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series. Although there was a similar looking, unidentified IG-86 sentinel droid that appeared in the earlier episode "Hostage Crisis," a connection between the two has yet to be explicitly confirmed.
