HK protocol pacifist package

HK-47: "Answer: Oh, master, I could not allow myself to harm another. What if they have families? Or children? We must always think of the children. The littlest ones always suffer in war. Musing: I think perhaps I would enjoy learning a new language. Or watching an informative holovid."

HK-47: "Statement: I am fulfilling my primary function, which is to facilitate communication between species and put an end to hostilities. Greeting: Oh, hello, little T3 unit. I am HK-47, protocol and translation droid."
T3-M4: "Dee... deet?"
HK-47: "Answer: Of course I am all right. Why wouldn't I be? I respect all life. All life is connected and should be nurtured."
Exile: "That does it. That package is coming out of there."

The HK Protocol Pacifist Package was a module for HK-series assassin droids that, when installed, inhibited a droid's assassination protocols, turning it into a simple protocol droid exhibiting pacifism and care for all living things.

The Jedi Exile once tried such a device on HK-47. However, she removed it after growing tired of HK-47's following antics; once the module was removed, the assassin droid expressed disgust and requested that the Exile run any programs she decided to install through him first. However, even though it went against his nature, the droid maintained some of the knowledge gained from the package; he even claimed to understand, however slightly, why sentients would attempt to solve problems peacefully.

Behind the scenesEdit

The package can only be purchased from Geeda if Jedi Exile finished the quest that involves establishing the trade routes to Dantooine and Onderon. It is not explained why would anyone create a pacifist package for an assassin droid, though it most likely has to do with the HK-50 units masquerading as protocol droids.
