HM-8s were a type of assault-grade concussion missile manufactured by Dymek. They were a larger, more destructive model of the HM-6. The Jade Shadow had two hidden HM-8 launchers.

Although much more powerful than the HM-6, the HM-8 was less destructive than the heavier assault-grade concussion missiles carried by capital ships (for example the GX-15).
