The Despot Queen Hadiya was a Twi'lek female who ruled Shikaakwa as the Kral, or overlord, for a time. Unlike the previous Krals, Hadiya tried to unify Skikaakwa and fully subjugate the aristocracy. Her goal was to unify Skikaakwa under one leader so that they could then conquer the other planets of the Tython system.

In response to her attempts at unification, and resentful of their increased subservience, many of the aristocracy rose up against her. The Je'daii saw that a unified Skikaakwa on the war path would prove disastrous for the rest of the system, so they joined with Skikaakwa aristocracy to put a stop to Hadiya. This conflict, which was later known as the Despot War, killed many Je'daii and Skikaakwa aristocrats. The war ended in 25,805 BBY with the death of Hadiya herself.

LegacyEdit

After Hadiya's death at the Battle of Kaleth, a weak Kral was elected in her place. This, and the deaths of many aristocrats lead to political turmoil that was still present over a decade later. Many of the treaties between the Nine Houses were created and broken frequently as they all fought for position.
