During the Expansionist Era of the Galactic Republic, the Haik Expedition was an expedition consisting of explorers who sought to find shorter routes through known space. Specifically, they sought to find a route between the Enarc Run and the Harrin Trade Corridor. During the expedition, they discovered the Kira system, and used the newly discovered system as a reference and namesake for the Kira Run.
