Halle Dray, a Human female and a native of the planet Alderaan, was one of the thousands of Alderaanian refugees who fled to Delaya following the destruction of Alderaan by the Imperial Death Star. While on Delaya, Dray and J'er Nahj looked after Shell, who had been orphaned after the attack. Dray was a member and a leader of a group of Alderaanian refugees, whose members loathed Princess Leia Organa. At one point the group captured Leia Organa as part of a plan to turn the princess in to the Empire, and in turn be rewarded with a new planet for Alderaanian refugees. However, the Imperials betrayed her faction, which led to her death.

BiographyEdit

A female Human, Halle Dray lived on the planet Alderaan during the time of the Galactic Civil War, a major galactic conflict fought between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Alderaan was destroyed by the Galactic Empire's Death Star at the order of Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, in order to demonstrate the destructive firepower of the battlestation on a world sympathetic to the Rebels, resulting in the complete annihilation of Alderaan and its inhabitants. Because of the destruction of Alderaan, Dray fled the planet and went to Delaya in the Alderaan system, the sister world of Alderaan before the latter's demise. Dray was one of the leaders of a group of Alderaanian refugees that loathed Princess Leia Organa, as her actions had led to Alderaan's involvement in the Galactic Civil War. Palpatine's Declaration of a New Order at the end of the Clone Wars alarmed Bail Organa along with many other members of the Galactic Senate. Because of this, Organa formed the Alderaanian Resistance, an anti-Imperial resistance movement. The Resistance would later be merged and form the Rebel Alliance.^[1]

After her homeworld's destruction, Dray and J'er Nahj looked after a young boy named Shell, who had been orphaned during the attack. Later, Dray and her followers kidnapped Organa before a meeting with Alderaanian survivor groups to entice them to join the Rebel Alliance. With Organa with them, Dray and her followers could turn Organa in to the Empire, with a prize of a new planet for Alderaanian refugees. After kidnapping Organa, Dray and her followers contacted the Imperials and turned in Organa for the reward they had long hoped for. However, the Imperials betrayed her and her followers, and they killed most of the group including her in 0 ABY. Leia, on the other hand, would later be rescued by Rebel forces.^[1]

Personality and traitsEdit

Halle Dray was a determined woman, who wanted peace to her as well as her fellow Alderaanians. She only felt hate to the Organa family, as she believed they ruined many of Alderaanians' lives as well as her's. Dray also was one of the leaders of a group of Alderaanian refugees, and her leadership in the group contributed to the downfall of the faction, leaving most of the group dead, even though Dray was not suspecting the Empire to betray them.^[1]

Halle Dray first and currently only appearance to date was in the novel Rebel Force: Hostage, released in 2008. The novel was written by Alex Wheeler.
