Hammond Ballater was a male criminal. He was a member of the Black Sun syndicate on Corellia before he left the organization to work for Shalera the Hutt.

BiographyEdit

Even though Hammond Ballater left Black Sun, the criminal organization never let their members go completely. Sometime following 0 BBY, he was approached by Grobber, the Twi'lek subordinate of Zekka Thyne, who demanded certain information from him. When Ballater refused to cooperate with Black Sun, Grobber sent a well armed individual to find Ballater and bring him back to Coronet, the capitol of Corellia. The individual was attacked by two thugs who were attempting to defend Ballater, but they were killed by Grobber's mercenary. Ballater then surrendered, as he did not want the situation to get even worse.

Behind the scenesEdit

Hammond Ballater was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online-role playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. Two known screenshots of Ballater exist, depicting this individual to be a Human. However, one depicts the individual as a male, and the other depicts the individual as a female. Due to the nature of many older quests in Star Wars Galaxies, the appearance of various characters could change each time a player performed the quest. Therefore, it cannot be said with absolute certainty that Ballater was a Human. Therefore, the canonical species of Ballater remains unidentified. However, the quest dialogue given by Grobber indicated that Ballater was a male.
