Hanco was a sargheet farmer from the planet Dagro during the Separatist Crisis and Clone Wars. He suffered through rough economic times and became frustrated with the seeming lack of Republic support the planet received. Therefore, he confronted Obi-Wan Kenobi when the Jedi, along with Anakin Skywalker, arrived on the planet to investigate a Separatist base and became stranded on the planet.

When Hanco witnessed the Jedi assisting the stripping of crops, he felt the Jedi worthy of the farmers's support. With the other farmers, Hanco, Kenobi and Skywalker located the last Separatist crawl-carrier, destroying it before it could wipe out another village.
