Hangar 8122

- "Hangar 8122. Broadside, Matchstick, you know the drill."
- ―Anakin Skywalker
During the Clone Wars, Hangar 8122 was located on the Gran-affiliated testing facility orbiting Bormus—a blue, luminescent planet[2] in the Bormus system of the Mid Rim's Dustig sector.[5] Around 21 BBY,[3] Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, and his astromech, R2-D2, arrived with Shadow Squadron to acquire Republic BTL-B Y-wing bombers—which were stored in Hangar 8122—for his assault against the Separatist flagship Malevolence. Shadow Squadron's pilots were initially denied access to 8122 by the facility's clone troopers, but they were allowed to enter the hangar when they mentioned the Jedi accompanying them to the clones standing guard.[2]
Behind the scenes
Edit
Hangar 8122 appeared on the fourth page of the six-page webcomic, The Clone Wars: Procedure, written by Pablo Hidalgo, illustrated and lettered by Grant Gould, and based on an idea by Henry Gilroy.[4] The comic was posted on StarWars.com on October 6, 2008,[6] and is part of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars webcomic series, which ties into the television series of the same name.[4] Procedure leads directly into "Shadow of Malevolence," an episode in the first season of The Clone Wars television series.[7]
