Heart of the Jedi was an unpublished novel written by Kenneth Flint. Flint was one of several authors approved personally by George Lucas, along with others such as Kevin J. Anderson. His brief from the publisher was that the novel should follow immediately after Return of the Jedi and would be the first in a series that would lead up to Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn. It was cancelled in 1995.
