Waste heat sinks, also known as heat sinks or radiators, were devices that drew away "waste heat" generated by a starship's or another vehicle's systems, and dissipated it into the surrounding environment. By doing so, they kept the system's components within their normal operating temperature, thus preventing breakdowns and malfunctions.[1] When Tam Ryvora was fixing a racing starfighter, her Aurebesh list of parts included "4 heat sinks". An Aurebesh list of inventory in the Office of Acquisitions on Colossus included "8 heat sinks."[2]
