A series of modified Z-95 Headhunters, the Heavy-95s were employed by the Rebel Alliance at the start of the Galactic Civil War before the X-wing was available. The Heavy-95s were equipped with cross-body strakes that provided better heat dissipation; this also allowed for more weight to be carried, giving them the nickname Heavy-95.
