A hedge maze was a Yuuzhan Vong hedge of ceremonial trees that lined the front entrance to the Well of the World Brain. The trees were as resilient as durasteel, fireproof, and contained toxin filled needles ranging in size from a Human thumb to a forearm. The hedge was decorated by colored epiphytes and flowers by the different castes of the Yuuzhan Vong. Both a ceremonial and defensive avenue leading towards the World Brain, as it grew, it formed a twenty by thirty meter tunnel that was resilient to even a detonation from within.

At the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the hedge maze was removed, destroyed by Galactic Alliance forces.
