The Hedrett Council was a council that acted as the governing body of the city Hedrett on the planet Cularin. The council was made up of 21 elected members: 9 senior counselors and 12 junior counselors, and the vote of a senior counselor on any particular matter counted for twice as much as that of a junior counselor. During the waning years of the Galactic Republic, Senior Counselor Karid Blakken served as the leader of the council, until he was unexpectedly defeated by the former criminal Westa Impeveri in an election in 33 BBY.
