Hekula was a Dug, and the son of the famous Podracer pilot Sebulba. Following in his father's footsteps, Hekula inherited Anakin Skywalker's Podracer, which Sebulba had purchased from Qui-Gon Jinn. Unfortunately, Hekula crashed the pod on the planet Euceron, abandoned it and was forbidden for life from racing by his father. Hekula had a son named Pugwis who carried on the family tradition of podracing.
