Hela-Tan was a male Togorian pirate active directly before the Battle of Naboo. Hela-Tan was sent to search Darth Maul's ship, Scimitar, after his band of pirates succeeded in surrounding Maul. Maul escaped the ship and attacked the pirate vessel, killing all including the Captain. Hela-Tan fought Maul as he was trying to escape the pirates, wounding the Sith on the leg before he was sucked into space.
