- "[W]hat the hell is an ogg file, and why don't we use WAVs?"
"Ogg files something something proprietary something something open source something something." - ―Menkooroo and Thefourdotelipsis
All audio files on Wookieepedia are in the OGG format. If you cannot hear an audio clip try one of the following:
- Click on the "Hear" text link, not the speaker image.
- If a dialogue box appears, choose "open" rather than "save".
- Make sure you have a media player that supports the OGG format. You can find out how to get your computer set up to play OGG files here and view a list of OGG software here.
If you are running a dial-up connection (56.6 kbps or less), it may take a while for the audio clip to load and play. If you are still experiencing difficulties, please leave a signed note (type ~~~~) on the file's talk page.
