The Hex Bomber, also known as a Sabaoth Hex Bomber or a Sabaoth Bomber, was a bomber starfighter used by Sabaoth Squadron, and later placed under the command of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
Characteristics
Hex Bombers were slow and not very agile compared with Sabaoth starfighters, but capable of carrying several kind of warheads including concussion missiles or missiles modified to include deadly Hex warheads; weapons crafted on Nod Kartha loaded with the chemical Trihexalon. Hex Bombers were often sent into combat alongside larger Hex Deployers, both vessels being escorted by Sabaoth fighters.
History
Several Hex Bomber squadrons were sent by Captain Cavik Toth to destroy an island settlement on Maramere, following Toth's pact with Count Dooku a decade after the Invasion of Naboo. The Bombers were destroyed by Jedi Master Adi Gallia, with help from Reti and Sol Sixxa. Hex Bombers were also deployed during the First Battle of Geonosis, when Toth's Hex fleet launched an assault against the Jedi Knights fighting on the planet's surface. Gallia was able to destroy the Deployers and Bombers along with their missiles before they breached the atmosphere of Geonosis.
