"One that turned out to be run by a Zeltron who was as pretty as a Tellanadan moonflower and as mean as a Hismauli hawk-snake."
―Lando Calrissian, on the brewery's operator[src]

The Hismauli hawk-snake was a species native[2] to the Hismaul system[1] in the the galaxy[2] by the year 0 ABY.[3] Professional gambler Lando Calrissian stated that a Zeltron, who ran a brewery owned by Calrissian on the planet Clendor, was as mean as one of these snakes.[2]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Hismauli hawk-snake was first mentioned in 2012's The Essential Guide to Warfare, written by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart as a guide dedicated to the conflicts in the Star Wars galaxy.

Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. The Hismaul system appears to be the location for one such homeworld.
