Hissal was a Brigian representative of the University of Rudrig's Committee for Interinstitutional Assistance. He was a tall, gaunt, purple skinned humanoid with red pupils and an elongated skull. He was to be first president of a fledgling college on Brigia, in part of his attempt to spread the campuses across the Tion Hegemony. In a bid for educational equipment, he asked Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon to transport them from Saheelindeel because the New Regime was attempting to control the education system. Using the broadcast system on the Falcon to disseminate information on the tyrannical regime, the academy eventually opened with success.
