"I have personal reservations about the methods Anavere uses, but she is very successful, and this is a war, so I have allowed her to continue. Fortunately, she chooses only to use her Ho'Din herbal teas on Imperials who are guilty of far worse atrocities."
―Airen Cracken, on Tal Anavere[src]

Ho'Din herbal teas were steaming beverages. Tal Anavere, a female Ho'Din who operated out of Obroa-skai, used her skills in herbal medicine to cultivate addictive qualities in her teas, which she then served to highly-ranked Imperial clients[1] during the years between the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Endor.[2] In this manner, Anavere, who gathered intelligence for the Rebel Alliance, was able to exert more influence over her Imperial targets. Anavere's use of herbal teas caused concern to Alliance High Command as well as General Airen Cracken, and led some to question her use as an operative. Cracken allowed her continued service despite his reservations, as she only used the tea on Imperials[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Ho'Din herbal teas were created for Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a West End Games sourcebook that was edited by Bill Smith and published in 1994. An illustration showing a pot of steaming Ho'Din herbal tea was created for the book by Mike Vilardi and the section mentioning the teas was written by Chuck Truett.
