Hoclaw was a native of the Corellian system and a member of the Corellian defense Force after the end of the Swarm War. In 40 ABY, she joined the Confederation and served as the captain of the Victory-class Star Destroyer Valorum. She was sent by Sadras Koyan to negotiate with Jacen Solo and lure him into an ambush by Centerpoint Station which he survived.
