A holocam in the Senate.
- "Holocams are like bureaucrats. They're everywhere. Can't escape them, so you ignore them."
- ―Iella Wessiri Antilles[src]
A holocam was a device that could record holographic images and sound. Some holocams were often fitted with small repulsorlifts and limited artificial intelligence. Holocam's could often be used in security applications and would come in all manner of all shapes and configurations. These cam droids served as roving cameras for covering large events, and were used to record anything from Senate sessions to podraces. The Boonta Eve Classic was filmed by fast moving cams that transmitted imagery of the podrace to small hand-held viewscreens carried by spectators.
