The Holocron Jedi Master was a member of the Jedi Order who had attained the rank of Jedi Master by the time of the Clone Wars. He was stationed on Coruscant when Palpatine issued Order 66, and when Darth Vader led an attack on the Jedi Temple, he secured the Great Holocron so that it would not fall into the Empire's grasp. When the Sith Lord found out about this he charged towards a training veranda, where the Jedi Master was making his last stand against the 501st Legion. When Lord Vader confronted the Master the two dueled briefly, resulting in Darth Vader cutting down the the Jedi and taking the Great Holocron.
