A holopad was a handheld device used to project holograms. It required a display disk to project the holograms. There have been many uses of Holopads beginning from the days of the Old Republic. A great example of the use of a Holopad would be Meetra Surrik in her attempt to find out what happened on the Peragus mining facility.
