The Home Planet Party was a political party of the planet Bandomeer and composed of both the native Meerians and the Arconan workers settled there by the Arcona Mineral Harvest Corporation. It advocated restoring the planet's natural beauty and returning control of the planet's resources to the natives from the mining corporations that had seized them.

The party was led by VeerTa; however, it was revealed that she was actually in league the Xanatos, a Dark Jedi controlling the Offworld Mining Corporation, although VeerTa defended herself by stating that she truly did have the best intentions of Bandomeer in mind. Following the destruction of the main Offworld mine and the revelation of VeerTa's allegiances, the party disbanded, although its goals were soon met when Offworld left Bandomeer.
